ABSTRACT
This feature class/shapefile contains Peak Shaving Plants for the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level (HIFLD) Database: https://gii.dhs.gov/HIFLD as well as the Energy modeling and simulation community. This feature class/shapefile represents Peak Shaving Plants. Peak Shaving Plants are used to provide vaporized Liquefied Natural Gas or Liquefied Propane Gas Air injections into natural gas pipelines to augment the pipeline for shortfalls in natural gas supplies. Data contains locational and other attribute information for Peak Shaving Plants. Geographical coverage includes the Continental United States.
