ABSTRACT
This collection of historic aerial photographs was taken in response to Hurricane Agnes in 1972 for the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC). During the major flood caused by Hurricane Agnes in June 1972, Erdman and Anthony Consulting Engineers captured aerial photographs of the Susquehanna River at Harrisburg, Conestoga Creek, Conodoguinet Creek, Swatara Creek, and the Juniata River. This collection includes 336 photos, and does not have a uniform scale. Center point index files were created through a georeferencing process. This collection was given to the Donald W. Hamer Center for Maps and Geospatial Information by the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Geological Survey Library. The photos were scanned at 800 dpi on an Epson Expression 11000 scanner by the Donald W. Hamer Center for Maps and Geospatial Information.
