Abstract:
This polygon layer delineates areas of Pennsylvania according to the presense of human activity within 100 hectare units. Two classifications were used. Naturalistic denotes that the 100 hectare block was primarily forested, wetland or a water body. Humanistic denotes that human activity predominates within the 100 hectare block, including urban areas, suburban areas or agriculture.
Purpose:
Dataset was designed to facilitate the interpretation of Pennsylvania's surface vegetation at a landscape scale.
