Goal: In this exercise you will become familiar with how to use the MuniX
What is the MuniX - Municipal Intersections? - The MuniX - Municipal Intersections is a tool that allows a user quickly answer questions such as, How much of that watershed is in my town? What is the area of all the State Parks in my borough? The user enters the name of an incorporated township/city/borough, a school district, a county, a major watershed or a 5-digit zip code. The data is queried and returns a list that corresponds to a certain location. To find out how this location relates to other location boundaries, the user will select from the list of boundaries types and to find intersecting areas.
Step 1. Navigate to the PASDA site and Clickon Online Mapping.

Step 2. Scroll down through the Online Applications and Click on MuniX - Municipal Intersections.

Step 3. Enter your zip code, township, city, borough, school district, major watershed, or county.

Step 4. The MuniX tool will retrieve the location of the 16801
zip-code area. Click on the Map icon
.

Note: You will see a map of the Zip Code area for 16801. You can also click on the Overview Map to see where that area is, in relation to the state.

Step 5. If you Click on the Place Name, 16801, the Location Details box will appear. Under the Boundary Type click on the drop-down box.


Step 6. Select Small Watersheds and
Click on the
Find Intersecting Areas.

Step 7. The data is queried and return Boundaries Details of the Small Watershed that intersect the 16801 zip-code area..
