Step 9. Open both attribute tables and use the Select Tool
to pick Erie County in the Countbnd.shp table. Next Click on options at the bottom of the table and scroll to Related Tables and click on Relate 1.

Step 10. Notice that "Attributes of Mcdnew.shp" has several records highlighted. This is a one-to-many relationship. Though there is just one county, there are several townships and boroughs within that county.

Step 11.Make the "Attributes of Mcdnewd.shp" table active and Click on the Selected Button
, so you are able to see all the Minor Civil Divisions that within Erie County.

Step 12.Make View1 active and notice that the Minor Civil Divisions in Erie County are now highlighted in blue.

Step 13.Close ArcGIS or continue with the next exercise.
