Step 11. Close the attribute table. Right Click on the Gwndep99.shp layer and scroll down to Properties. Clickon the Symbology tab. On the right under "show:" click Graduated Colors and choose any colors you like from the Color Ramp. In the middle under "Fields:" for "Value:" scroll down to countbnd.POP1990. Under the "Classification:" category the "Classes:" number should be set to 5.

Click
in the Layer Properties (symbology) to apply your changes to the view. Close Layer Properties
We now have a map that shows higher potential use of groundwater due to high population.
