Step 6. To add a field, open the attribute table for the Exwatshed.shp layer. Click on the Options tab at the bottom of the table and scroll down to Add Field.
Step 7. In the Name: input box, type Comments. In the Type: select Text. ClickOK to add the new field to the table.
Step 8.The new field is added at the end of the table. To make the table active start the editor and type your comments into the attribute table.
Step 9. Select Stop Editing. The Stop Editing dialog box asks you if you want to save your edits.
Step 10. Click Yes to save your edits.
Step 11. Close ArcGIS or continue with the next exercise.
